About us
APBS was founded in 1999 by Tony Davitt and Colin Allum as a building and maintenance contractor. Following Colin’s retirement, Tony became sole owner and continues to lead the business as Managing Director. The company has since grown into three divisions, Build & Maintenance, Scaffolding and Electrical, all managed from our office near Aylesbury.
We have long standing relationships with local authorities and housing providers, including one local authority we have worked with for over 25 years. Alongside responsive repairs, voids and planned works, our scaffolding division works for housebuilders and main contractors on projects ranging from new build housing to listed college buildings in Oxford.

Over the last 7 years, we’ve had nothing but excellent service from APBS. The team has provided us with everything from simple access scaffolding to complex temporary roofs, working seamlessly around tricky existing buildings.
How we run our jobs
Every job we take on is logged, scheduled and tracked in Premier Planner, our job management system. The office plans the work, our operatives get their jobs on their phones, and photos and completion notes come back with the job.
